Jeff White's Observation

"One practice in, it’s clear that offensive coordinator Robert Anae can get creative at quarterback if he chooses to.

"In senior Bryce Perkins, the Cavaliers have one of the nation’s top returning players at that position, and his backup, freshman Brennan Armstrong, gained valuable experience in 2018, appearing in three games without using a season of eligibility.

"Perkins and Armstrong are outstanding athletes, and if UVA wants to put them on the field together at times, that can work. We saw that in practice Monday morning when Armstrong ran a wheel route and caught a touchdown pass from Perkins."

"I was glad to be back out there. It was exciting.

"We need to fix some wrinkles and work on our execution, especially on down-the-field team plays." - QB Bryce Perkins

"The first day of Spring Ball was a little rusty, but at the same time, productive and efficient." - DE Eli Hanback
